Personal training goes on at the HFD
  even on off training nights

The Training Division of The Fire Departments of Enfield ensures that all departments’ members have the education and skill necessary to perform their duties in a professional and well-structured manner.

The primary responsibility of the Training Division is to coordinate weekly drills. These drills include OSHA-required sessions, as well as experimental labs that provide members with a hands-on opportunity to explore new techniques and tactics. Drills are coordinated within individual departments or in conjunction with multiple departments. This allows the departments to share ideas and practices.

Other responsibilities of the Training Division include enrolling members in external classes and seminars, as appropriate, and scheduling periodic department-wide, off-site training sessions.
